EVC Telescope – Account Deletion and Data Removal

Overview

This page explains how account deactivation and deletion work in the EVC Telescope platform.

EVC Telescope operates as a service platform where Agents act on behalf of Consumer organizations. As such, certain data processed through the platform is controlled by the Consumer and may not be deleted solely through an Agent account deletion request.

1. Deactivating Workspace Access

Agents may choose to stop using a current workspace without fully removing their account. This option is available in the main menu of the app.

When workspace access is deactivated:

  • Access to the current workspace is disabled
  • The Agent cannot log in using existing credentials
  • Authentication sessions are terminated
  • Local data stored on the device is cleared

Reactivation requires a new authorization process initiated by the Consumer, including identity verification and credential setup.

2. Removing the Account Completely

Agents may request full account removal through the application. This option is available in the main menu of the app.

When an account is removed:

  • The active running account is permanently deactivated
  • Authentication credentials (such as PIN and verification tokens) are deleted
  • Local application data stored on the device is cleared
  • The internal record representing the Agent (Corporate Entity) is deactivated

Any future use of the platform requires a new invitation and verification process, resulting in the creation of a new account.

3. Data Ownership and Retention

EVC Telescope operates under a service model where:

  • Agents act on behalf of Consumer organizations
  • Assignment data is created for and owned by the Consumer
  • The Service Provider processes data solely under the Consumer’s instructions

For this reason:

  • Deleting an Agent account does not delete assignment data created during the execution of assignments
  • Assignment data remains under the control of the Consumer organization
  • Certain records may be retained as required for:
    • contractual obligations
    • audit and operational integrity
    • compliance with applicable laws
    • establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims

Requests related to assignment data (including deletion or correction) must be directed to the relevant Consumer organization.

4. Operational Personal Data

Certain personal data (such as name, phone number, and email address) used for operational purposes may be:

  • Provided by the Consumer organization
  • Managed under the Consumer’s authority

Following account deletion:

  • The Service Provider no longer maintains an active account for the Agent
  • Any remaining operational records are subject to the Consumer’s data management responsibilities

5. Requesting Account Deletion Without Using the Application

Users may request account deletion without accessing the mobile application.

To submit a request, please contact:

Subject: Account Deletion Request – EVC Telescope

Such requests:

  • Are subject to identity verification
  • Are evaluated in coordination with the relevant Consumer organization
  • Are processed only to the extent applicable within the scope of the Consumer’s authority and responsibilities

The Service Provider does not perform unilateral actions on data that is subject to the Consumer’s control.

6. Uninstallation

Since the agent is identified by the unique identifier generated by the EVC Telescope, destruction of app data deactivates the account. When following two methods are applied, the user will have to walk through workspace registration steps to regain access to EVC Telescope Services.

Uninstalling the application

The user can delete the EVC Telescope Mobile Application anytime needed. This invalidates the device account immediately. When the user reinstalls the application, the application requests creation of new account, introducing the same device with a different identifier.

Clearing the application data

When it is applicable, clearing the whole application data removes the device specific identifier, rendering the user account ineffective.

7. Important Notes

  • Account deletion is irreversible
  • Deletion removes access credentials and deactivates the account, but does not affect data controlled by Consumer organizations
  • Rejoining the platform requires a new invitation and account creation process
